Hayworth in Vegas – They Called it the Perfect Martini. So Was Everything Else.

One of the benefits of living in Vegas is there is always something new popping up on the restaurant scene. Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Hayworth, or more formally, Hayworth Steakhouse & Martini Bar. Its located in Henderson, and the chef is know for “Beating Bobby Flay” as well as having a cocktail program run by a gentleman with a fascinating background – just google Giuseppe Gonzรกlez. The restaurant opened in February of 2026.

What initially attracted me to this place was a search for steakhouses I had not been to yet. However, to call this place just a steakhouse would be an understatement. When dining out, one of the things which excites me about a menu are seeing items I could not easily produce at home or ingredient combinations I would never in a million years think of.

This place checked those boxes. Here was the menu the night we dined there:

Lets start with the cabbage. This is no ordinary cabbage. It came charred (over an open flame as is their steaks) with cultured yogurt, tahini, butter and “tuff stuff”. To elevate a simple cabbage in this manner is just brilliant. The dish was well executed and the perfect way to start the meal.

For the mains we had the 24-hur wagyu pastrami. This was more meaty than the wagyu pastrami at Papi Steak, and hence, did not melt in your mouth, but it was so satisfying to bite into and had a perfect smoke on it. It was screaming to be put in between bread, and according to our amazing server, you can get it like that at their sister restaurant – SMKD BBQ. I can’t wait to head over!

The steak was something else. We had the Wagyu New York Strip. First, it was cooked perfectly medium rare. Next, the flavors of the char came through PERFECTLY. Probably one of the top 5 steaks I can remember having. The beef was wagyu but not overly marbled, just enough fatty goodness coming through to moisten each bite. The homemade chips they served with it were mind blowing.

As a side, we had fries with everything bagel seasoning. I liked how they served it with a compromise between ketchup and mayo camp (basically combining the two). Personally, I like thinner fries, but that’s personal preference.

For dessert, I can never resist a sticky toffee. This was prepared with plum instead of dates. The flavors of the plum came through, but I personally like it more traditional. The execution was perfect though because the cake was moist, warm, and had proper texture.

Overall, this was a near perfect meal. There are a ton of things I want to try on the menu and will be back for sure. Its worth noting that they also have a happy hour at the bar. Menu below. A lot of people rave about the burger.

Speaking of the bar, they called the martini the “perfect” martini, and it was. Its probably the best martini I’ve had. It was so well balanced with a perfect amount of saltiness in the finish and the alcohol was perfectly incorporated. Not harsh or spirit forward. Service was top notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, efficient, and great to talk to. Highly recommended.
