Want the perfect location and a good deal? – Bar Boheme

Bar Boheme is a French restaurant located in the Arts District of Las Vegas. The Arts District is a walkable area of Vegas kind of in between the Strip and Downtown. If you have never been, you should check it out. There are a ton of good restaurants and bars all within a few blocks of each other. When I went to Bar Boheme, I went for a nice walk after and it was saddening that there weren’t more people out on a Wednesday night. Lots of places that looked really inviting to hang out sat empty. This area of the city definitely deserves more attention from people. Anyway, aside from being in a cool area like the Arts District, the setting of the restaurant itself is very cool.

First, its beside a sister establishment called Petite Boheme which is cocktail bar. So its a perfect spot for pre or post dinner drinks. Next, there is a nice patio that you can get a glimpse of in the above pic with lots of tables, turf, and an outdoor bar.

The meal started with a selection of bread, and I chose the foccaccio.

Next, the escargot in puff pastry, onion jam, and herb butter. The pastry was nicely warmed, perfectly buttery and flaky. The herb butter added a nice umami finish to each bite with the escargot providing contrasting texture.

We also had the foie gras which was a bit over seasoned but I still enjoyed it taste and texture wise; especially with the perfect brioche they served it with. I would of also liked a bit more tart sweetness to counter the richness of the foie.

For mains, we had the burger and the pork. The burger was definitely the star. Look at how perfectly cooked and moist this was:

I would place this burger a close third to Bavettes and Braseria, but way above Peter Luger’s (which is often also mentioned in discussions of “high end” burgers in Vegas, but I think its overrated). The pork was prepared in a unique way, and when I saw it, I was glad that it wasn’t just a piece of pork. The sauce paired well and enhanced each bite.

Lastly, for dessert we had the chocolate which was ok, and they also brought some Mignardises.

Overall, service was very good, extremely friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The space is gorgeous. Lots of pink and green and well decorated. Its also located in a great location as mentioned above. Food was also good. Lastly, if you don’t know about inKind, you should download the app. Its basically a great way to earn cash back on eating out and they also have frequent offers. On this night, I used a $50 off $100 offer I had, and my wife used a $25 off credit. I would certainly return to try other items, or just have a drink on the patio; and would also recommend this place.
