Queen is a supper club in Miami similar to places like Billionaire Dubai, Mayfair Club in Vegas etc. I was really looking forward to going here recently. First, I love supper clubs, and second, the place looks gorgeous in pictures. The actual venue did not disappoint. Here is a look at the entrance.

We arrived a bit early and the hostess asked us to sit at the bar as our table was not ready yet. The bar was also really nice. Through the glass of the bar shelf, I could peek into a violin performance that was taking place in the dining room.

We waited at the bar for over 30 minutes for our table. The venue was about 20+ minutes late seating us. I find that in Miami, there are two types of these “scene venues”; ones that are very friendly and try to seat people on time, and ones that don’t respect your time because they are in high “demand”. Unfortunately, I believe Queen falls into the later category. When we finally sat at our dinner table, we started with lobster tempura and some sushi (the places is a Japanese steakhouse). The sushi was not bad and the lobster was really good. However, I would soon discover another disappointing thing about Queen; their performances are scheduled really far apart and end early. At places like Delilah or Mayfair in Vegas, or Billionaire in Dubai, there are more frequent performances throughout the night. I think we only saw 2 in the 1 hour+ time we had dinner there.

For our main, we had the tomahawk, a cacio e pepe mushroom (which used thinly sliced mushroom instead of pasta), and creamed corn. The sides were good, but the steak was just ok. The quality of the steak could be better, and the seasoning could be improved. Crust was ok.

Overall, the dinner service was good in stark contrast to the front. The food was hit or miss. The venue itself was really, really nice. The crowd was good and we had a great conversation with the couple beside us. I was really disappointed with the “entertainment” which was sparse and ended early. Overall, I think the place has potential to turn from a princess to a real queen. However, if you have gone to places like this around the world, then you might want to check out the other venues in Miami instead.
