My go to restaurant in Whistler used to be Araxi, but after a disappointing recent experience, the place I would go to for dinner instead is Il Caminetto. They are both owned by the same group – Top Table.
We started with heirloom tomatoes and burrata salad.

..and then a couple of pastas. The ragu and lobster & saffron linguine.
The ragu was just ok.

…but the star was this lobster linguine…

Everything worked well together, it was delicious with just the right amount of saffron to complement but not overpower the other flavors. We also had the fish of the day (not pictured) which was cooked perfectly and delicious.
Service was good and the atmosphere is modern/elegant. I know when a place is good because I will continue to think about eating there for days after. This place, creates that desire.
Looks delicious!
