888 Sushi and Robata is an all you can eat restaurant. They have three different tiers of menu items to choose from. We went with the middle one. The main difference between the middle and the top, as explained by our server, is the wagyu beef. To me, its too fatty, and its not unlimited so the benefit to taking the top tier was not appealing to me. Here was our menu (mainly the robata and appetizers; I didn’t take a pic of the sushi side).

The sushi was good for an AYCE place. The rice was really small while the fish was normal sized. I appreciated the fact that they weren’t trying to make you full with rice. The robata was really good:

We tried various cuts of meat and flavors and they were all well executed and very tasty. The appetizers were good too. I would order this stuff a la carte. I really loved the dessert also which was soft serve. Our server told us they made it in house. Its the kind of soft serve I love, and usually I can only find it in Asia. More of an icy and creamy texture balance and not too sweet.
Overall, the restaurant was serving high quality food and very tasty. Service was good. There was always someone around to order more and the food arrived quickly. I would go back and highly recommend. They are the same group that has 888 Japanese BBQ which is also really good (especially the LA Kalbi).
