Broye claims that it is the first Japanese-Vietnamese fusion cafe in Vancouver. I stopped by recently and saw a wide range of interesting items like mochi cookies. I inquired about the name of the place, and was informed that Broye was the person who brought coffee to Vietnam. Before writing this post, I tried to verify this but was unable to. Anyway, I decided to try the Ube Tiramisu. The beauty of this is that it is a blend of 3 cultures – Ube is used extensively in Filipino desserts, and its one of my favorite things; tiramisu is obviously Italian; and it all come together in Broye, a Vietnamese cafe!

The dessert itself was delicious. The ube flavor was subtle and well incorporated, and the texture was creamy. I would return to try other items and highly recommend this place.
