Don’s Prime is another steakhouse (the other being Papi Steak, one of my favorites) located in the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Papi steak has a more party vibe versus Don’s which is a more old school elegant vibe. Walking in, I see meat being aged which is always a good sign.
The meal started with some pretzel and another type of bread which I don’t remember exactly what it was called, but it was nice and flaky golden on the outside, and most and warm on the inside.

I also decided to try then caviar martini. The martini itself was fine and they served the caviar two ways. One on a pearl spoon and another stuffed inside two olives. The one on the spoon was good and I could tell it was fairly high quality caviar. The ones in the olive though were overpowered by the olive and more of just for show. I wouldn’t order this again, but enjoyed the experience.
Next came the tartare which was on two pieces of bread and was served as more of an amuse one bite style. Still, it was good. The Caesar salad lacked balance though. I think the ultimate Caesar recipe is here. Its the perfect balance of creamy, acidity, savory, garlic, and parm. Very complex and satisfying. This one lacked certain elements.

For main, we had steak of course and creamed corn and butter whipped potatoes. The steak was cooked well and had a good crust one it.
For dessert, I can never resist a sticky toffee when I see it on the menu. This one was pretty good though I didn’t care for the caramelized bananas.

Overall, service was very good, atmosphere was good, and the steak was good, which is what one should want in a steak place. I would go back and recommend.
