Day 7 in Antarctica started with more excursions and fantastic scenery and wildlife viewing, but the best parts of the day would come later.
After a morning and afternoon excursion, the boat threw a caviar reception with plenty of vodka!
In the evening, we had a special dinner prepared by one of the chefs who was Filipino. I had requested a Filipino dinner and they made chicken adobo, kare kare, and pancit.
The pancit was especially delicious. I could not believe that we were having Filipino food on a luxury ship in Antarctica! However, the dessert was even better. We had our first whale sightings after dinner! It was an incredible sight to see.
Tomorrow, Day 8, I take over the ship as captain for the day!
