Switzerland is known for making the world’s best watches, and of course, chocolate! Here are three places in Geneva where you can try the famous Swiss chocolates. The nice thing is that they are all within walking distance of each other in the historical center.

My favorite was the second place on this list.
Auer

Favarger – This was the friendliest of the three and my favorite too.

Du Rhone – The staff here were most passionate about their product. Before ordering, they proudly told us the story of their chocolate production. Unfortunately, this was my least favorite of the three.

We also passed by this really nice cafe and had a coffee and hot chocolate:

Which is your favorite chocolatier in Geneva?
having not been to Geneva, closest for me would be Lindt! Canadians love Lindt.
Did you have a chance to see Laderach? 9min walk from Auer. If you chose not to sample Laderach, can you please share why?
As always, thank you for reading. I am not an expert in Swiss chocolate, but I believe Lindt would not be considered an “artisan” chocolate like the three in the blog. When doing the research, I found so many Swiss chocolatiers so I had to narrow down due to time. No reason to choose one over the other. If I go back, I will certainly check out the rest.
