Le Saint-James is located in the Bordeaux region of France and has a Michelin Star. Bouliac to be exact. We took an Uber there from the center of Bordeaux and it took about 20 minutes.
The town of Bouliac is a nice, small medieval town which makes for a nice walk before or after your meal so make sure to plan for that. Here is a picture of the town, just outside the restaurant which is in a hotel.
For me, this was the most perfect meal of 2019 so far. First, the setting is absolutely gorgeous. We sat outside and had this view all night:
Then the food. The restaurant takes its suppliers very seriously and lists them in the menu.
You have a choice of various tasting menus or a la carte. We did one of the tastings menus. At this point, I do not recall which one, or have a copy of the menu. I will just let the pictures speak for the meal. If you have the opportunity to go, I would highly recommend it.
Some amuse bouche to start:

Because we were in Bordeaux, I had to get a bottle of wine worthy of such a great meal. I chose this 1999 Mouton Rothschild which was just incredible.
The service was very good. I cannot stress enough how perfect this meal was. The setting is incredible, the view spectacular, no misses in the dishes, and good wine. Why this place only has one Michelin star is beyond me. 10/10
