I recently ate for a second time at the new Elem restaurant located on Main Street in Vancouver. This experience was even better than the first. Both times I was there for more social reasons so I don’t have pics and notes for everything I ate, but do want to highlight a few things.

This was the stracciatella. It was just OK. It was cheese and citrus fruit that were all fresh, but not mcuh elevation in the dish as a whole:

This is the crab toast. Its delicious and the sauce is bisque like. We ordered a side of bread just to mop up all the sauce:

These lamb kebabs are to die for. Perfectly melt in your mouth tender with a nice grilled taste.

We also had the spaghetti, fried rice, and short ribs. Everything was pretty good. They also have a creative cocktail program. This was the s’mores Manhattan:

What stood out this time was the passion of the servers. Every time they brought a dish, they explained it with great passion about the technique and ingredients. It was probably the most passionate I have ever seen servers.

Overall, most of the food is really good, service is out of this world passionate and cocktails are creative. The atmosphere is vibey and modern. I would go back and recommend.
