Day 10 would be my last day in Antarctica. It would consist of two landings – one in the morning and one in the evening. For the morning landing, I was able to see more penguins and seals.
After the morning’s excursion, I went back to the ship for lunch. Today, I had a cheeseburger and fries. Although I had this a couple of times before on the ship, I thought it would be a good time to mention that the fries on the ship are REALLY good. If you ever go on this trip, I would highly recommend them. The burger itself was good, but I could not tell if they were making it or if it was pre-formed.
In the afternoon, I would go on my final excursion in Antarctica.
On this final night, the boat would host a dance party, and we made our way back across the Drake passage. The trip to Ushuaia would take about 2 days. On my next post, I will talk about the journey home, and my final thoughts on the whole adventure!
