La Buche describes itself as “Traditional Quebec cuisine with a contemporary twist.” I started with the onion soup and bone marrow. This was one of the 10 best things I have eaten this year.

The soup was incredibly flavorful and the bone marrow was the perfect compliment to it. My mouth is watering as I write this, remembering the flavors. The bone marrow portion was generous too.
For my main, I had the poutine. Overall all it was ok. There was no indication on the menu that it would be topped with ground meat. Anyway, the star of this lunch was the soup and marrow.

Service was ok but the place was extremely hot when we went. I would of stayed for a maple pie but could not wait to get into the cold! I would probably return to try other things on the menu.
