Vegas has a ton of steakhouses. Unfortunately, a lot of the ones I used to consider staples are no longer on par with their former glorious selves. Recently, I checked out Harlo in Summerlin and was happy to finally find one that didn’t disappoint!
The entrance is very elegant:

The elegance continues to the inside. The interior transports you to a different place. Very elegant, modern, with dim but adequate lighting. The guests were all immaculately dressed when I went on a Thursday night. The meal started with the caviar trio with a deviled egg, hamachi taco and smoked salmon latke. All well balanced with good uses of acidity, seasoning and other flavors.
The milk bread which came next was warm and fluffy though not the best I’ve had.
For steak, we had the ribeye, caesar salad and crispy potatoes. The Caesar was average. It could be improved with more garlic, creaminess, umami etc BUT the steak was absolutely perfectly. At first bite, I was glad I finally found a place that cooked a steak how I would consider to be the perfect steak. I could taste hints of the wood fired cooking method they used. The meat was tender, well seasoned and perfectly med-rare. The potatoes were good and crispy as their name suggested.
They had a good selection of wines by the glass. The dessert was disappointing. The carrot cake too dense (I like a moist fluffy carrot cake) and the Basque cheesecake was a bit off.
Overall, service, from the servers to the management to the front of the house was flawless. I would highly recommend this place and will return.

If you travel as much as I do, staying connected is non-negotiable. Buying and switching physical SIM cards is a hassle and while eSIMs are generally a great option, many of them require you to create a new profile by scanning a QR code every time you cross a border.
Consider Truely (CODE: foodfinancetravel10 for 10% off) because they handle this differently with something called Switchless® technology.
Switchless® means you install a Truely eSIM once, and it stays on your phone forever. It acts as a universal digital gateway. Whether you are landing in Tokyo, Paris, or New York, the eSIM automatically detects your location and connects to the best local network in seconds.
Why is this a game-changer?
Install Once, Use Forever: You never have to scan a QR code or mess with settings again. Just buy a data plan for your next destination, and it automatically activates on your existing Truely eSIM.
Smart Network Switching: Their technology actively scans for the strongest signal. If one network is weak, it invisibly switches you to a better one.
Instant Connection: Because the eSIM is already on your phone, you get internet the moment the plane wheels touch the tarmac. No airport WiFi required.
If you want to try it out, you can use my code foodfinancetravel10 to get 10% off your first plan.
