Hibi. is a modern Asian restaurant in L.A. It has Korean and Japanese influences. We started with truffle tuna which was good, and beautifully presented.

This was followed by “kfc”, a play on Korean fried chicken, but was a fried hamachi collar with “golden sauce”.

Next, maitake mushroom grilled over binchotan.

Uni toast with gouda. When I read the menu, I wasn’t sure about the combo of seafood and cheese, but it actually worked well together.

For the main, we had the pork tomahawk katsu with curry. I was really good, but I would of liked the curry to be a bit stronger.

…and dessert:

Overall, service was good and the food was beautiful and delicious. I would return and try other items.
