Canadian data showed a small decline in the daily change in total cases while the change in daily cases increased after showing a huge drop yesterday. The 5 day average of changes in daily cases turned negative with two days of negative results dominating the average.
The USA also had positive results with the growth in daily cases coming in at under half a percent.
Globally, the change in total cases continued to fall over the previous day, but the change in daily total cases grew for the third straight day. The risk is that other countries that have been late to get affected by the corona virus are now starting to see growth in cases. This indicates that countries will “re-open” at different times making it a while before the world is back to normal.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal yesterday, Anthony Fauci, said that he would need to see an obvious drop in daily cases for the U.S. to slowly reopen its economy. Looking at the 5 day moving averages, although it does not look like we are there yet, we are moving in the right direction.
