Arnaud Nicola is a restaurant in Paris that specializes in Charcuterie. The chef, Arnaud Nicola, is a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) in Charcuterie. The MOF designation is awarded in various fields. Basically, it is a contest held every four years in each category, with the winner being able to use the designation for life. It basically signifies a person is a master in their field. The restaurant also has a store side where you can buy various charcuterie to go.
Upon arrival, they poured us a complimentary glass of white wine. We had the degustation dinner. It started with none other than an assortment of the charcuterie, each one paired with a sweet jam:
This was delicious and I highly recommend stopping by to try and have some wine when in Paris. The second course was the seafood and they served scallops. They were well cooked.
For the meat course, they had pork. Again, well cooked, extremely tender, very well seasoned, and served with a tasty sauce (demi glace).
For dessert, we had a choice from the menu. I went with the rum baba. It was ok, not the best I’ve had.
Overall, the service was good and the food was delicious. I would go back, but focus only on the charcuterie. The other food was good, but I want more of what they are known for! 8/10
