Today I paid a visit to the Mekong Delta. Just like almost everything else in this part of Vietnam, I believed it to be underwhelming, and overrated. Other than the food, I would skip Saigon, and the “must see” things to do in the area entirely. Things get better as you head to Central and Northern Vietnam. Saigon is not a pretty city and neither are the sights.
The Mekong is heavily polluted, and in my opinion, not worth the trip from Ho Chi Minh.
Next stop, Nha Trang……….
