Look up best pizza in Naples and Sorbillo will make many lists. However, many locals I have asked swear there are better places. Anyway, I liked it a lot. Here is a recap of my visit to the original in 2019.
One recently opened up in Miami so we decided to give it a try for comparison. We started with bruschetta.
…and then the Holy Grail – a margherita pizza.
Followed by dessert.
In the end, its not as good as the original. The dough/bread was not as good. It did not have the perfect chewiness of the original, and the flavor was off. The sauce and cheese did not work as harmoniously either. Its still good, but when you find yourself in Naples, go for the original one.
